Carolyn Weinbaum, a seasoned professional with a passion for animal training since 1984. Her journey began at the Miami Seaquarium, where she worked with and trained Orcas, Pacific white-sided dolphins, California sea lions, and Pacific harbor seals.

In 1989, Carolyn was entrusted with developing a training program at New Orleans’ Audubon Zoo, focusing on California sea lions. Her expertise expanded to training diverse species like white rhinos, red wolves, and primates, while also coaching zookeepers in effective animal training techniques for the animals in their care.

With a certification as a dog trainer in 1995, Carolyn founded The Developing Canine Behavior and Training. Drawing from her experience with marine mammals, she crafted a unique training approach that has enriched the lives of countless dogs and their owners, fostering a deeper understanding and more fulfilling relationships.

A proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals since its inception in 1999 and the National K9 Dog Trainers Association, Carolyn’s commitment to excellence drives her to stay updated with the latest industry insights. Since settling in Columbus, GA in 2006, she continues her mission of nurturing life changing bonds between dogs and their families by training ordinary people to have extraordinary dogs!
